Romania Report #9 - Final Update

This will the last update for our Mission Trip here in Romania. We have just returned home from lunch and we are resting before heading out to church in Bieus. We leave for the airport at 2 AM Romania time.

The dedication service today was probably the most touching and moving moment all of us have experienced here. The building was built with our blood, sweat, and prayers. Today we added our tears. Many Gypsys as they entered the church, fell to their knees in prayer, and stood up again with eyes welling with tears. Their gratitude was more then any of us had expected, as tables full of food and deserts were made just for the occasion.

The teenagers from Bieus, a brass band from the Romanian Baptist Church, the church members from Batar, and our team all joined together to dedidcate the church. There were also three baptisms two of Pastor Danut's daughters included.

Over 220 adults (not including the children) were joined together in worship of the goodness and faithfulness of our God. Songs were lifted up, prayers were uttered, and four sermons were given, and all of us were humbled and overwhelmed. Each of us greeted and told everyone gathered what God had done in our hearts during the week. I can summerize the team's feelings easily: We serve a good and faithful God. What he allowed us to take part in over the past days has been life changing for us. We are so thankful for the people welcoming and loving us the way they have. And we will always carry Romania and it's people in our hearts.

God's promises was fulfilled, his house was full, may it be a sign of the things to come, as we pray more and more people come to know Christ, and Pastor Danut contiues his faithful service to God, proclaiming the good news Christ.
