Okay, Here we Go.

I wanted to get our blog going so we can have a place to discuss what we are talking about in the class even if we are not there.

First I want to thank you all for taking the journey to the creation class for the past few weeks.  It was a learning experience even if at times it was heavy in content.  As believers in Jesus Christ the key points are that we approach the scriptures as truth even if at times we do not understand it all.  The questions that should direct our thoughts at times we lack understanding are:

  • Could God know more than I do about this?
  • Could God understand things that I cannot understand?
  • Could God know what is best for me in my times of not understanding?
  • Could the problem be with me and not with the word of God?
  • Am I willing to accept that God is God and I am not?
When we consider things that we do not understand from this perspective everything falls into place.  It is so important that we put ourselves in place relative to who we are and who God is.  It is amazing that we even know what we know about Him and just a few things that He has done.

So, with that behind us let us restart our journey through the Old Testament.  Since we broke away right after starting with Exodus let's start with the beginning of Exodus this Sunday.  That is Lesson 17 in your  booklets.  Please try to come this Sunday and let's reconnect in this great study.

We also need to be thinking about a get together for this month not on Sunday.

Feel free to comment at any time.

We Love you all In Christ and for His Sake,
Rick and Amy
