The PIMI Team
Close up of the cross hung within the church
Closing the trailer for the last time.
Fourteen years after Pastor Danut was given vision of a church building. After doubts, fears, and attacks, today God provided for his faithful, the building has been completed. We pray that God will reap a great harvest through this building, and the ministry to these cast off people will change Batar forever. Lord, may it so. Hear our prayers for these people.
Please pray for these things:
1. Elijah. As I write this, the information is not completely accurate, but one think is for certain, Elijah was sick all day with a bad galbladder attack. Any information will be passsed on, but please pray with us for his quick and full recovery, and the Great Physican would lay his healing hands on him so he may be cured, and back with us tomorrow.
2. The Team. We are all going out witnessing, praying, and ministering tomorrow morning. Pray that we as a team will be prepared, with hearts and minds focused on sharing the love of Christ, and the people of Batar would have soft hearts to respond to God's call.
3. The dedication service on Sunday. I'm praying for a packed house to overflowing with people. I pray the village of Batar will be empty and everyone could be found in the church. I pray for people to be saved, God to be lifted up and glorified, and out hearts to be broken over God's absolute power, grace, his love, and his goodness.
4. Two years ago God gave SSBC the opportunity to be a part of the start of this church in Batar. Please continue to pray how he wants us to continue in our support. This summer a team will be returning to Batar as we continue to help with the physical needs of the village through a medical clinic. We will also be conducting a day camp for children at the church, and Pastor Danuts sees this as an opportunity to help in the development and training of leaders in the church for a children's ministry. As part of the medical clinic and the day camp we will also need people to conduct on-going evangelism of the village people as they come.
5. Please pray also for the team that will return in Nov. This team will conduct a pastor's conference, that will include pastors from the baptist churches throughout the area. We will also have services in Batar and in Baleni. We need people to help with the conference, the services, and with the evangelism that will be conducted in the villages. There is much work to be done as we help in the establishment of the churches in both Batar and in Baleni.
6. As we look into next year, also be praying about the church building needed in Baleni. The church is in a similar condition that Batar was in prior to the building being completed. In Baleni the church is presently meeting in a house. There is need for the purchase of the property (approximately 10,000), the pouring of a slab (approx. 10,000) and of course the purchase, shipping and building of the church building (approximately 40,000). Much was learned from this current project and we hope that the project in Baleni can proceed in the near future so that this information can be utilized.
Without God none of this could of happened. Even the most hard hearted person cannot deny all that our Lord has done.
