Why We Believe with Certainty in the Premillennial View (Part 10)

As I have already pointed out to you, when we started our study I did a poor job of communicating the truth of just how important it is to believe and understand what God says about end times. I kind of presented it as insignificant in all that God has for us in His word. I hope that you have seen that opinion change as we have studied the prophetic text relative to end times.

As we have studied, the following has been demonstrated to me and I hope to you.

1. Only the Premillennial viewpoint makes any sense of the whole Word of God. The great prophecies given in Scripture concerning Israel cannot ever be understood unless looked at through the lens of the Premillennial view.

2. Only the Premillennial return of Christ and its teachings provide a literal interpretation of the Scripture. If one simply takes the scripture literally, with no preconceived mindset, they will end up with a Premillennial understanding of end times.

3. Premillennial teachings include an understanding that Christ could return imminently and this is the teachings that were conveyed by the early church. This mindset results in an empowered perspective of the importance of every day of this life.

4. The Premillennial teachings of end times lead a person to a conservative approach to the Scripture. This is to say, it does not matter what you think, truth is something that comes from God.

5. The study of end times produces a desire in the present to live a life pleasing to God.

6. The study of end times produces an understanding that everything is about what Jesus has done for us on the cross, and that if a person does not believe in this saving event that they will suffer in the end a terrible judgment and eternal condemnation. This results in a greater awareness that we must share the gospel with those around us.

We started our study of this great book with an understanding of the promise given in the third verse of Chapter 1. It tells us that we will be blessed if we will read, hear, and heed the words of this book. The basis for everything that we have learned started with and understanding that we would take scripture literally, or for what it says. Therefore, if you took 1:3 literally, you have been blessed, as I have, with this study. Have you looked for the blessing? I have been challenged to study. In that challenge, God has blessed me with a deeper sense of Himself and a greater awareness of my need for His Word. I would encourage you to think about your life and to look for God’s blessings as a result of reading, hearing, and heeding the Revelation. I would love for you to share that with us all with a posted comment. PLEEEEEEEEEEEEASE.

God Bless you.
Rick
