Romania Report #6

Rick has left for home, so to keep everyone updated I (Brett) will be updating the blog till the end of the mission trip.

WHAT HAS BEEN GOING ON WITH THE TEAM
Rick Lowhorn had to leave today extremely early. He left around 2 am for the airport in Budapest, and was safely on his way home over the Atlantic Ocean last we heard. We all missed Rick today and his encouraging spirit and deep love of God, but the work of the Lord continued all the same. Alex, Rhonda, and Ken along with our translators Alex and Chris went throughout Batar going door to door. While the rest stayed and continued construction on the building. Ken stayed in Batar, and preached to the church there.

WHAT HAS BEEN GOING ON WITH THE BUILDING
Today was another amazing day! All the praise goes to God, who has allowed us to do in eight days, what everyone told us was impossible. The construction on the building has been going on for eight days, and we can report the building is entirely enclosed! All that is left to do on the building is the gutter and trim work on the outside, and a few liner panels and two front windowz to put up on the inside. (There will be full pictures of the inside and outside tomorrow one way or another) Despite the doubts of the neighbors in Batar, God has provided the strength needed to complete this project. We all look forward to having the finished product by tomorrow evening or early on Friday. What the Lord has done here is truly amazing.

WHAT HAS BEEN GOING ON WITH THE CHURCH
I've spoken with Ken and compiled the the statistics, and I am overjoyed that since the team has first arrived there has been 29 Adult confessions of Faith, and 10 Youth and Children confessions of faith. For a total of 39 Romanians who are now Brothers and Sisters with us in Christ. Praise God! Our Lord is so good and so faithful. The harvest is indeed plentiful, the love of Christ and his gift of salvation is truly a need felt by every human on this Earth.

We need you to pray! Starting tomorrow, we are beginning a new push to get more us out into the village and share God's word. Friday and Saturday (Lord willing) will be focused mainly on evangelism. And Sunday will be there dedication service for the new church building! So pray that the hearts of the people of Batar are soft and receptive to God's word, pray that we all continue to have the strength needed to see this project through to completetion, and pray the this Sunday will be a day that begins an amazing move of God here in Romania.

I will attempt to update the blog everyday till the end of the trip and will report how the service on Sunday went in time for church there in the States.
