It is 5.30 Monday morning and we are loading to go out to the church building site. Everyone had a great day on Sunday. Most of the team went with Elijah to the church that he is pastor. They had a baptismal service that included the baptism of 6 people. Rick and Kevin went to Batar and Kevin shared a testimony and Rick preached a message. The gypsy services are wonderful with great music (very different).
We had lunch together in Beius (where Elijahs church is located). After lunch, most of the group went with Elijah to visit some other churches. Pastor Vecilli, of the church that we are assisting to start in a village called Baleni, came by and picked up Rick and took him to the other churches that he pastors. Vecilli normally preaches at four churches on Sunday. His first service is at around 10.00. He has lunch and drives to the second service at around 3.00. He goes straight to the third that is some distance and the service starts at around 5.00. From there he drives to the last service that starts at 7.00 in Baleni. He ask Rick to preach at the last three.
Today we are planning on putting the wall panels on the building. This is normally a two day job for a building of this size. Pray that God would multiply our efforts and get a two day job done in one. Also continue to pray for clear skies.
We are blessed to have the opportunity to serve God in this way, and thank the church at Stevens Street for all of your financial support for the building and pray support.
God Bless You,
Batar Building Team
