ReGrouping#1 Why Small Groups and its Purpose?

I. This past Sunday we birthed two groups. Faith Builders continues but with two distinct groups that are very different. The group led by Amy and Rick Lowhorn are going through a study to reconsider the purpose of having a group, as we continue to read through the Bible. The Study for this past week included a look at the following scriptures to determine a purpose for meeting in a small group:
  1. Ephesians 4:16
  2. 1 Peter 4:10
  3. John 17:9-11
  4. Philippians 1:27-2:3
  5. John 17:20-21

II. From these scriptures, Faith Builders #1, what do you think is the overwhelming goal of our group?

III. From these scriptures, FB#1, what do you think would be a good statement of purpose for the group?

IV. Looking at the following words, choose one that would best describe where you are at this point in your spiritual walk and why? If you feel led, share this with the group. Using where you are in your walk, give what you would like to see the group to focus on in order for you to move on in your growth process.
