Class Information .....

  • Please help us with the following information.
  • We will not at this point make suggestions, but would like this to be the result of a collection of commits from everyone in the group.
  • Let's make sure that everything we discuss has sound Biblical basis and is in line with the vision and purpose of the church.
NAME OF LIFEGROUP: ____________________________________

Leadership Team:
  1. Assistant Teachers: __________________________
  2. Care Leader: _______________________________
  3. Fellowship Leader: ___________________________
  4. Outreach Leader: ____________________________

I would like to suggest that the assistant teachers be Norm Vaughn and Dustin Rawls at this time. I would also like that the other rolls be rotated within the group so that everyone has an opportunity to serve. If you would volunteer please let me know. Without volunteers we will assign the first rotation. We cannot have a group without a working leadership team. With a working team we can achieve great things.

Class Vision Statement: This is a statement that sets vision relative to what we would like to see as the long term goal of this group. It should be a statement that challenges all of us to go places that we have never been in our commitment to the Lord. The vision of the church is to "Take the Word around the world." This is great vision. How can our vision compliment this?

Class Purpose Statement: This is a statement that is more definitive. It consist of achievable objectives that we can measure. What are things that we can see within the group that tells us whether or not we are moving towards the vision we have set. For the church, the Purpose that has been set by our pastor is that each of us worship, mature, and serve. These we can measure, and if continuously active in our life, we will be achieving the vision of taking the Word to the world. What is our purpose?

Class Ground Rules: What are those things that will protect us from not achieving the purpose of the class. What rules define us as a group? We have already established a couple.

  1. We as a group have agreed that we are going to "long for the pure milk of the Word of God in order that we might grow with respect to salvation."
  2. We as a group agree that we will "hide Thy Word in our hearts that we might not sin against Thee."
  3. We as a group have agreed that we will not "forsake the assembly of the brethren, as some have." We will make not only the large worship service a priority but the meeting of the Lifegroup.
  4. We as a group have agreed that everything that we discuss in the group will be confidential.
  5. What other ones do we need to achieve our purpose?
